4. PROGRAM ANNOUCEMENT: Certificate in Engineering Education (CEED) program is open for registration at Utah State University (USU)
A fully (100%) online Certificate in Engineering Education (CEED) program is open for registration at Utah State University (USU). Developed by leading practitioners and researchers in the Department of Engineering Education at USU, the program provides an excellent opportunity for engineers, engineering faculty members, graduate students, and trainers in industrial companies to improve their teaching or training skills. The program includes four online courses offered in two semesters, with two courses in each semester and seven weeks for each course. The four online courses focus on, respectively, 1) effective teaching and learning in engineering, 2) assessing learning and teaching in engineering, 3) engineering course design, and 4) e-learning course and training development in engineering. In addition, the program offers an online concurrent teaching internship course to enable CEED students to build a comprehensive professional teaching portfolio, demonstrating teaching expertise to pursue enhanced career opportunities.

The program is open to anyone worldwide who has a bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline and who is interested in learning how to teach. The program information is available at http://www.eed.usu.edu/programs/ceed/index. Students can enter the program in either Fall or Spring semester. Registrations for Fall 2018 are open now.
