Four awards are presented at the ASEE annual conference: 1) Distinguished Service Award, 2) the ERM Best Paper Award, 3) the ERM Diversity Paper Award, and 4) Apprentice Faculty Grants. The awards are based on the ASEE Award policies.
- ASEE ERM Distinguished Service Award recognizes an individual for their service to the ERM Division each year.
- ASEE ERM Best Paper Award recognizes the best paper submitted to the ERM Division for the ASEE Annual Conference & Exposition each year.
- ASEE ERM Diversity Paper Award recognizes the best diversity-focused paper submitted to the ERM Division for the ASEE Annual Conference & Exposition each year.
- Apprentice Faculty Grants encourage and honor promising new researchers who have the potential for substantial contributions to engineering education. These are recognized at the ASEE Annual Conference & Exposition each year.
In addition, a number of ERM members have been selected as ASEE Fellows, also recognized at the ASEE Annual Conference & Exposition. The ERM division also hosts a distinguished lecture annually at ASEE.
Awards are also presented at the annual Frontiers in Education (FIE) conference, which is co-sponsored by ASEE/ERM and IEEE: 1) the Benjamin Dasher Award given to the best paper/presentation (view Review Criteria); 2) the Helen Plants Award given for the best non-traditional presentation at the FIE conference; 3) the Ronald Schmitz Award given to an individual for service to the FIE conference; 4) the FIE Conference Best Diversity Paper Award; and 5) New Faculty Fellows Grants.
